Growing up in Las Vegas, we understand hospitality and tourism. The housekeeping did great, and the front desk people were all exceptional!! They also gave suggestions for places to go and restaurants to go to, and different tours to do. And for those who would be interested....the hotel is also haunted. There is a woman and a couple kids that haunt the hotel, and apparently they had a small dog. We have a small dog that will jump up on our bed at night and sleep with us, and we left her at home. One night my wife went to bed and I went to some jazz clubs. While I was gone after she fell asleep, she felt something small jump up on the bed, move to the middle of the bed, and cuddle up next to her. She felt the blanket squish up next to her, as if something layed on top of the blanket and up against her. She grabbed her phone and turned on the flashlight, and nothing was there. The room also has a lot of character with old wood floors, and antique furniture. The bed was really comfortable. All of the locals were even really nice and polite. We will definitely be back to New Orleans, and Lamothe House will be where we stay. They even had a heated pool and Jacuzzi. Location was right on the edge of French Quarter, and just a block away from Frenchman for the jazz clubs. We were there during Mardi Gras and it was just a few blocks from the action, which meant it was far enough away to not be noisy so we could sleep. Highly recommend!!

This location was excellent - in between the edge of the French Quarter and right next to "Frenchman's Street" but still quiet and quaint! I walked everywhere and enjoyed the beautiful architecture on the surrounding streets. The staff was friendly, efficient and welcoming. The pool and hot tub were great! How picturesque to sit and soak in the evening, looking at the palms and charming architecture of the courtyard. The bathroom and room were very clean. I enjoyed the feeling of being in an old structure with wooden floors, brick walls and traditional character. Sleeping in comfortable white linens with high ceilings was a true delight.

Everything .. I would love to recommend this place 100%. You will get everything you need on your vacation. The hotel itself really beautiful. Prepare your swimming suit if you travel in summer time. The room is beautiful also the building was built in the 1830. Lovely place to stay. They provide everything, coffee machine, ice bucket, amenities etc. The staff really helpful. Carol is really kind .. love her. Also Jay as well. I definitely come back here again for sure. This place is walkable to almost tourist attractions. Very close to Frenchman street for Jazz club. I stayed here 3nights and feel not enough. ;)

We booked Lamothe House entirely due to its great location, steps from all the great Frenchman Street food and entertainment. Everything we wanted to do around Bourbon Street and the French Quarter was an easy walk away as well. The very simple lobby gives way to a charming interior courtyard sporting a goldfish pond and a pool. The lobby had popcorn and warm cookies during the day. The pool is legit, although our mid-February visit was a little chilly for a swim. The spa end of the pool though is apparently heated, so pack swimwear. Also the room was very affordable for it being so close to Mardi Gras!

Love the location. The property was neat with the multiple houses converted into a hotel and a pool in the courtyard. The room was nice and clean and spacious. My complaints are few. The toilet in my bathroom ran for a very long time after being used. Something is wrong with the float. And, the location of my room made it noisy. I was on the first floor next to the street and the gate that guests used. So, every time someone entered or exited, the gate slammed shut. People walking by drunkenly were loud, and the people who walked all over their room in shoes above me were also annoyingly loud.
